Early Life

Megsquats was born and raised in the United States. In Meg’s childhood, she showed interest in fitness. After she completed her education, she began to pursue her dream of being fit and also pursuing her career in fitness. This is what led her to pursue a career as a fitness trainer. Throughout her coaching career, Megsquats has successfully guided hundreds of powerlifters through their first squat, their first meet, and their first national-level competition. During her time studying under and interviewing the strongest strength athletes in the world, she has been able to share her expertise through her YouTube channel and professional passion for the sport of powerlifting. With a mission to ensure the barbell is in every woman’s hands, Megsquats has helped to spearhead SSF’s business mission of making barbell training accessible to every woman.

In her most recent performance, Megsquats managed to achieve a 7/9 performance at the 2018 USAPL Nationals, where she dropped 140 kg (308 lbs) in the squat, 77.5 kg (171 lbs) in the bench press, and 185 kg (409 lbs) in the deadlift. In addition, this performance resulted in a 437 Wilks score as well.
